Hidden Treasures of Creativity

Lost Masterpieces was created as a unique brand value add from Adobe—something no other brand or product line could offer. The Adobe Hidden Treasures campaign set out to rediscover and recreate lost or forgotten artistic tools and techniques from past masters, then place them in the hands of modern creators.

Notable projects included the Bauhaus Dessau design collection, the recreation of Edvard Munch’s original brushes, and digital versions of Keith Haring’s iconic markers and brushes. The goal of the campaign was to bridge past and present, connecting contemporary creators with the techniques of history’s great artists—both inspiring today’s work and preserving artistic heritage for the future.

Bauhaus Dessau Lost Type

The Bauhaus Dessau Project, in collaboration with the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation and led by Erik Spiekermann, reconstructed and digitized five lost Bauhaus alphabets—making this design heritage available to creators worldwide through Adobe Creative Cloud.

Edvard Munch Original Brushes

The Edvard Munch Project digitally recreated the 100-year-old brushes of the modern art pioneer. Partnering with conservation experts and brush maker Kyle T. Webster, Adobe used 360° photography and physical analysis to replicate Munch’s tools—enabling a new generation to create with the brushes of a master.

Keith Haring

The Keith Haring Project advanced Adobe’s mission to democratize art by digitizing Haring’s iconic tools for Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fresco. In partnership with the Keith Haring Studio, the campaign celebrated art as activism through a hero film by Dima Maseykin, an Antfood score, and collaborations with Shepard Fairey and Kate Moross—inviting creators everywhere to “pick up Keith’s brush.”
